PCR Poly Bags

PCR means post-consumer recycled content: plastic recovered after consumer use and incorporated into new film. The 25% figure describes the documented material content of these products. It does not mean the finished bag is compostable, biodegradable or accepted by every recycling program.

Recycled content can create a slightly different visual appearance than all-virgin film, including somewhat reduced clarity. That can be acceptable for inventory and parts handling, but buyers who rely on very clear product presentation should evaluate an actual bag with the intended contents.

The zipper area requires free space above the product. Where specified, sideweld construction and reinforced zipper ends help support the closure, but overfilling or pulling the track around a bulky item can still prevent a complete seal.

The recycled-content feature does not replace normal bag selection. Choose width and length from the usable space below the zipper, then select film thickness for product weight, edges and handling. Smooth, lightweight contents may need less film than heavier parts or products with pronounced corners.
