Reclosable Anti-Static Poly Bags

Pink anti-static reclosable bags use treated polyethylene to reduce static-charge generation at the bag surface while providing a zipper closure for repeated access. They help identify components that need static-conscious handling and keep compatible items organized during storage, kitting and movement.

Anti-Static Is Not the Same as Static Shielding

Anti-static film is intended to reduce triboelectric charging caused by contact and separation. It does not create the conductive or metalized barrier used by static-shielding bags. Sensitive devices may require shielding, conductive packaging, grounding and controlled handling beyond what a pink polyethylene bag provides.

The familiar pink color supports quick identification, but color alone does not establish electrical performance. Match the bag to the component sensitivity and your ESD control plan, then confirm electrical properties, storage life and handling guidance for the exact product when those values matter.

Keep the zipper clean and fit contents below the track. Choose film thickness for physical demands such as product weight, corners and repeated handling; anti-static treatment does not add puncture protection.

Choose the Format from the Workflow

Reclosable bags work well when components are counted, inspected or accessed more than once. For continuous runs or unusually long products, Anti-Static Poly Tubing allows cut-to-length packaging with compatible sealing equipment.

If the contents do not require anti-static handling, a standard reclosable bag avoids paying for a feature that does not improve the application.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do pink anti-static bags provide static shielding?

No. Anti-static film reduces charge generation but does not provide the barrier performance of a shielding bag.

Does the pink color prove ESD performance?

No. Use the product's electrical specifications and documentation, not color alone.

Can these bags replace an ESD handling program?

No. Packaging is one part of a complete program that may also require grounding, controlled work areas and trained handling.

When is anti-static tubing more useful?

Tubing is useful when package length varies or standard bag dimensions do not fit the product efficiently.
