Sometimes, an item may require a special type of packaging that can protect unique shapes or prevent internal or external hazards. Suspension Packaging and Foam Shippers

When shipping a fragile item, it is essential to ship it in packaging that prevents movement. Movement during transit can lead to impacts with the walls of the package or transit vehicle, and with sensitive or fragile materials, this can easily lead to damage. At Packaging HERO, we offer both suspension packaging as well as foam shippers – two types of packaging that hoist the item in the center of the package and prevent it from hitting the walls of the box during transit.

Suspension and retention packaging works by wrapping the item in form-fitting plastic through the use of a shell or wrap. This is then secured in place with cardboard to stabilize the item. Foam shippers utilize foam inserts that are secured against the internal walls of the package. When the package is closed, these foam inserts lock the item in place and prevent the contents from moving or shifting around to provide an extra degree of security.

Hazard Shipping and Weather Resistance

Some shipments may require additional safety measures. With hazard shipping boxes, each package is clearly labeled to note any transit precautions that need to take place. You’ll also find options for shipping materials that are form-fitted to work with our hazard-labeled boxes. Our weather-resistant boxes utilize a special coating and design that keeps out weather conditions – making them great for resisting humidity as well as wind and rainfall.
