Jiffy Rigi Bag® Laminated Fiberboard Mailers

Jiffy Rigi Bag® mailers combine kraft laminated fiberboard with a cohesive self-seal flap and an easy-open tear strip. The rigid construction helps hold compatible documents, photographs, prints and other flat products against bending, folding, creasing and corner movement during normal handling.

The Board, Closure and Opening Work as One Mailer

Laminated fiberboard supplies the stiffness that a standard paper envelope lacks. For suitable flat items, this built-in support can eliminate the separate chipboard stiffener commonly added at the packing station. It is especially useful when edge and corner condition affect the value or presentation of the contents.

The cohesive flap seals by folding the prepared flap over and applying firm pressure, allowing the mailer to close without separate tape. The tear strip gives the recipient a defined opening path, which can reduce the chance of cutting or tearing into the contents.

Inspect the flap and seal after loading. Dust, overfilling, product pressure against the closure and inadequate application pressure can interfere with a secure close even when the mailer itself is correctly sized.

Allow Room Inside the Listed Dimensions

Mailer dimensions do not equal the usable interior area. Allow for seams, board thickness and any protective folder, sleeve or backing used with the product. Corners should enter without catching, and the contents should sit below the closure area.

Rigid does not mean crushproof or cushioned. Test the mailer with the actual product when shipping brittle items, dimensional merchandise or high-value pieces that may need additional impact protection.
