Select the Correct Component Format

Combo packs provide corresponding hook and loop parts in dot or strip formats. Individual products sell hook and loop components separately, which supports replacement or custom pairing but requires ordering both sides when a complete closure is needed. Pre-cut strips eliminate cutting and suit repeat placement.

Dimensions describe the fastener footprint, not holding capacity. Larger contact area can help only when both components engage fully and the adhesive bond to each surface remains sound. Consider opening direction, peel forces, cycle frequency and whether the parts align consistently during use.

Verify Adhesive and Surface

Adhesive-backed fasteners need clean, dry, compatible surfaces and firm application pressure. Rubber-based adhesive is listed for the combo packs, while acrylic is listed for the nylon individual-component family. Those chemistries should not be assumed interchangeable across temperature, surface or dwell conditions.

Test adhesion and repeated opening on the actual materials. Hook-and-loop fasteners do not automatically provide security, sealing, child resistance or structural restraint. If failure could cause injury or product loss, use an appropriate primary fastening method and treat hook-and-loop only within the validated design.
