Tyvek® Envelopes for Lightweight, Flexible Document & Parcel Mailing

Tyvek® envelopes use lightweight olefin material in flat, expandable, colored, self-seal, and tamper-evident configurations. Choose the style based on product thickness, opening direction, security needs, color coding, and the amount of expansion required.

How to Choose a Tyvek® Envelope

1. Measure the Contents Match envelope length and width to the contents and allow room for easy loading.

2. Choose Flat or Expandable Use an expandable format when the contents have meaningful thickness or a file stack needs extra capacity.

3. Choose Material Weight The current filter includes 14 lb. and 18 lb. olefin options. Check the SKU for the exact construction.

4. Check Opening & Security End- and side-opening products are present, and selected styles are identified as tamper-evident.

Choosing Tyvek® Envelopes

Tyvek® envelopes provide a flexible mailing format for business documents, files, records, and compatible parcel contents. The current Packaging HERO assortment spans flat and expandable formats rather than a single envelope style.

Material, opening, and security should be selected together. Current filters identify 14 lb. and 18 lb. olefin constructions, end- and side-opening products, multiple colors, and tamper-evident options. An envelope still needs to match the item being shipped. Rigid, sharp-edged, fragile, or crush-sensitive products may require a stiffener, cushioning, a corrugated mailer, or a box rather than relying on a flexible envelope alone. Olefin envelope construction provides a flexible alternative to rigid mailers and boxes. Gusseted dimensions provide extra capacity for thicker contents. White plus multiple bright colors support routing, identification, and presentation. Tamper-evident options are available for applications where visible opening evidence is useful.
