Insulated Foam Containers
Insulated foam containers provide passive thermal insulation around temperature-sensitive contents. The three listed sizes all use 1.5-inch foam: 8 by 6 by 4.25 inches, 8 by 6 by 9 inches and 12 by 10 by 9 inches. Use interior dimensions for the packout and outside dimensions for the shipping-box and storage plan. The 8 by 6 by 4.25-inch interior corresponds to an 11 by 9 by 7.5-inch exterior. The taller 8 by 6 by 9-inch interior has an 11 by 9 by 12-inch exterior. The 12 by 10 by 9-inch interior has a 15 by 13 by 12-inch exterior. Confirm the orientation of every dimension and leave room for coolant, separation layers and restraint. Do not size the container to the product alone. A payload that fits tightly may leave no room for the validated cold-pack placement or airflow pattern. Excess empty space can also change thermal behavior and allow movement. Create a pack diagram showing the product, coolant and any absorbent or cushioning materials before selecting the container. A foam container slows heat transfer but does not actively cool, prevent freezing or establish a duration rating. Confirm whether the selected product includes every needed component, then add the appropriate outer corrugated shipper, closure and coolant when they are not included. The outer box protects the foam from normal distribution contact and carries required shipping information. Compare insulated foam shipping kits when a matched corrugated carton, molded foam container and fitted lid are preferred. Whichever format is used, qualify the complete packout for payload temperature, transit time and seasonal ambient conditions. Revalidate after any size, coolant, route or component change. All three listed insulated foam containers use 1.5-inch foam. Use the interior dimensions and include space for coolant, separation and restraint. They affect the outer shipper, storage space and carrier dimensional planning. No. The complete packout must be qualified for the product, route and season.
