Industrial Double Sided Film Tape
Wholesale Double Sided Film Tape
Double-sided film tape places adhesive on both faces of a thin film carrier. It can support compatible mounting, laminating, splicing, display and light assembly work when a compact bond line is preferred. Packaging HERO's film-tape family leads to industrial 3.5 mil rolls in several widths. The first surface and second surface can behave differently even in one assembly. Metal, glass, paper, painted finishes, foam, fabric and low-surface-energy plastics do not accept pressure-sensitive adhesive equally. Identify the materials, surface coatings, texture and expected shear, peel and cleavage forces before choosing tape. A thin film carrier follows smooth interfaces but does not fill large gaps or compensate for warped parts. Use double-sided foam tape when a documented foam construction better suits small surface irregularities. Neither format should be treated as a structural fastener without exact performance data and representative testing. Clean and dry both surfaces with a method compatible with the materials. Apply the first face without wrinkles, keep the exposed adhesive free of dust and fingerprints, then remove the liner carefully. Align the second component before applying firm, uniform pressure across the bond area. Allow any specified dwell before loading the assembly, because pressure-sensitive adhesion can build over time. Test the exact industrial film tape at the expected temperature, humidity and service duration. Confirm removability separately; a thin tape can still damage coatings or leave residue. Film tape creates a thinner bond line, while foam provides a compressible carrier. One adhesive can bond differently to each material or coating. Not necessarily. Follow the exact product's pressure and dwell guidance. Do not assume so. Validate the exact tape, bonded area, load and environment. Packaging HERO can help you compare film-tape width, surfaces, bond line and load direction.Thin Double-Sided Film Tape for Compatible Bonding and Assembly
