VCI Poly Tubing

VCI protection is chemistry-specific. Identify the metals in the part or assembly, including plated surfaces and mixed-metal combinations, then match them to the product's documented compatibility. Cleanliness, residual process fluids, humidity, temperature, storage duration and package volume can all influence results.

The package must create the enclosure required by the VCI system. Holes, open ends, damaged film or repeated opening can allow the protective environment to dissipate. VCI film can support corrosion prevention without coating compatible parts in oil or grease, but it should not be presented as a universal corrosion guarantee.

Choose tubing width from the product's complete cross-section and allow clearance for loading without stretching the film. Cut enough length for the part, both end seals and any required headspace. Film gauge should also account for weight, corners and handling so punctures do not compromise the enclosure.
