Poly Sheeting, Top Sheets, Pallet Covers and Liners

Poly sheeting and covers create temporary barriers around products, equipment and palletized loads. The group includes continuous sheeting, VCI sheeting, pre-cut top sheets, pallet covers and bin liners, plus furniture and mattress covers. Select the shape and material properties from the object, exposure and handling method.

Choose the Format Around the Coverage Area

Continuous poly sheeting is cut from a roll for floors, equipment or custom coverage. Top sheeting provides pre-cut pieces for the upper surface of pallet loads. Pallet covers and bin liners use a formed bag or gusseted shape to cover sides or fit containers. Furniture and mattress covers are sized around selected household or commercial items.

VCI poly sheeting is a separate corrosion-inhibiting format for compatible metals and documented storage conditions. Do not substitute standard clear or black sheeting when VCI protection is required. Confirm the exact VCI product, metal type, enclosure method, duration and environment.

Measure Fit and Define the Exposure

For a cover, measure width, depth and height and allow for the required overlap or closure. For roll sheeting, calculate cut length and workstation space. Compare mil as material thickness, then evaluate puncture, drape and handling on the real object. Thicker material is not automatically the most workable choice.

Review poly sheeting rolls for cut-to-length coverage. Poly film can help shield a surface from dust, handling contact or light moisture, but an open sheet or cover is not a waterproof enclosure. Verify food contact, UV resistance, anti-static behavior or regulatory suitability only when the exact product documentation supports it.
