Poly Sheeting
Poly Sheeting & Pallet Covers
Durable Poly Sheeting for Industrial Protection
Packaging HERO® offers industrial poly sheeting for protecting products, equipment, supplies, and work areas during storage, transportation, manufacturing, and construction. Poly sheeting creates a flexible barrier that helps shield covered items from moisture, dust, dirt, and other environmental contaminants.
Available in multiple roll sizes and mil thicknesses, poly sheeting can be cut to fit the dimensions of the application. Choose from standard clear poly sheeting for general-purpose protection or specialized VCI sheeting for compatible metal products requiring corrosion protection.
Benefits of Industrial Poly Sheeting
- Flexible Coverage: Cut sheeting from the roll to cover products, equipment, materials, floors, or work areas.
- Moisture and Dust Protection: Helps shield covered items from moisture, dust, dirt, and handling.
- Multiple Thicknesses: Select a mil thickness based on the required strength, puncture resistance, and durability.
- Large-Area Protection: Wide rolls make it easier to cover oversized products, machinery, and bulk materials.
- Economical Packaging: Continuous rolls allow businesses to use only the amount of material needed for each application.
- Indoor and Temporary Outdoor Uses: Suitable for many storage, warehouse, manufacturing, transportation, and jobsite applications.
Standard and VCI Poly Sheeting
- Standard Clear Poly Sheeting: Provides general-purpose protection while allowing covered products and materials to remain visible.
- VCI Poly Sheeting: Contains vapor corrosion inhibitors that help protect compatible metal surfaces from rust and corrosion during shipping and storage.
VCI formulations may be intended for particular types of metal. Confirm that the selected sheeting is compatible with the metal being protected and the anticipated storage or shipping conditions.
Choosing the Right Mil Thickness
One mil equals one-thousandth of an inch. Thinner sheeting is appropriate for lightweight or temporary protection, while thicker sheeting generally provides greater strength, puncture resistance, and durability for demanding applications.
Consider the weight and shape of the covered item, the presence of sharp edges, the expected handling conditions, and the length of storage when selecting a thickness.
Versatile Pallet Covers for Shipping and Storage
Pallet covers help protect palletized products from dust, dirt, moisture, and warehouse contaminants during storage and transportation. They can be placed over completed pallet loads quickly, making them a practical protective covering for warehouses, distribution centers, and manufacturing facilities.
Packaging HERO® offers covers and liners in a variety of dimensions and material thicknesses for pallets, bins, furniture, mattresses, equipment, and other large items.
Available Cover and Liner Styles
- Pallet Covers: Fit over palletized loads to help protect products during storage, staging, and transportation.
- Bin Liners: Line bins, containers, cartons, and totes to help separate and protect their contents.
- Furniture Covers: Help protect furniture from dust, dirt, moisture, and handling during moving or storage.
- Mattress Covers: Provide a protective outer covering for mattresses during storage, transportation, and handling.
How to Choose the Correct Pallet Cover Size
Measure the width, depth, and total height of the loaded pallet. Choose a cover with enough width and depth to fit over the load without stretching the material, and enough length to reach the desired point on the pallet.
Pallet covers provide surface protection but are not designed to stabilize or secure the load by themselves. Use stretch wrap, strapping, bands, or another appropriate load-containment method when the shipment requires additional stability.
