Extended Core & Bundling Film

Extended-core rolls leave core material beyond the film edges so the operator can grip the roll during application. Standard bundling-film rolls can be used with the compatible handling method or dispenser specified for the product. Both formats are hand applied, but the grip, roll control and workstation setup differ.

Three- and 5-inch films fit narrow bundles and localized unitizing. Wider choices can cover more surface on long items or larger grouped products. Available clear constructions include 80-, 100-, 120- and selected 150-gauge formats, while colored 80-gauge choices include black, blue, green, red, white and yellow on specific rolls.

Gauge is not a bundle rating. Product weight, length, edge profile, film overlap, revolutions and handling determine whether the unit remains together. Protect sharp edges and avoid enough tension to bend, crush or mark the product. Stretch film should not replace approved strapping when the application requires greater mechanical restraint.

Use color for identification only after verifying the exact roll. It does not make a bundle tamper-evident or fully opaque. Compare Goodwrappers® film when printed messages, stretch netting, UVI film or additional hand-film formats are needed. Record the approved film and wrap method together.
