Wholesale Anti-Static Stretch Film

Anti-static film is intended to reduce charge-generation risk during compatible handling. It is not the same as a static-shielding bag, conductive material, Faraday enclosure or complete ESD-control program. Determine whether the product needs anti-static handling, electrostatic discharge shielding, conductive packaging or a combination before selecting the film.

Pink is a visual identifier commonly associated with anti-static material, but color alone does not prove electrical performance. Review the exact technical data, surface-resistance range, conditioning method and useful-life information required by the application. Do not transfer test values from another pink film or packaging format.

The film must still contain the actual load. Test the 17-inch roll using controlled overlap, revolutions and tension, then inspect film breaks, sharp-edge punctures and pallet movement. Eighty gauge describes film thickness; it is not a load rating. Avoid excessive tension around electronics, assemblies or delicate cartons.

Use grounded workstations, personnel controls and primary ESD packaging as required by the facility's documented program. Compare standard hand stretch film only when the anti-static property is not required. Store and use the anti-static film according to supplier guidance, and revalidate electrical and containment performance after changes in humidity, process or load configuration.
