Sheets speed repetitive wrapping and make consistent interleaving layers between parts. Rolls let packers cut longer sections for varied components, broad bench protection or continuous lining. Select enough width to cover the exposed surface with minimal seams, then choose paper strength for the part weight, edges and expected handling.

Use the treated side toward the grease or moisture source when the construction is waxed on one side. Fold seams so runoff is not directed into the wrap, and add an outer barrier when exposure may be prolonged or substantial. Test the paper against finishes, coatings and process fluids when staining, transfer or chemical compatibility could affect the product.

Wax treatment improves resistance, but paper edges, folds, punctures and seams remain possible entry points. Do not rely on waxed kraft as waterproof, vaporproof or corrosion protection unless the exact packaging system is tested and documented for that purpose. For direct food contact, confirm suitability for the food type, temperature and duration; industrial waxed paper should not be assumed food-contact compliant.
