Clear-View Poly Mailers With an Opaque Addressing Surface

Clear-view poly mailers pair a transparent front with an opaque back for addressing and postage. The format keeps selected catalogs, literature or products visible while preserving a conventional label surface. Product descriptions identify 2 mil film, self-seal closure and double perforations, but privacy and fit must be evaluated first.

Plan the Visible and Opaque Sides

Orient the item so the intended cover, message or product faces the transparent panel. Place shipping labels and routing information on the opaque back, keeping barcodes smooth and unobstructed. Do not expose personal, confidential, regulated or commercially sensitive information through the clear side.

Dimensions are outside measurements, so allow for contents and inserts. The product should lie flat enough for visibility without stressing the seams or closure. Compare colored poly mailers when an opaque presentation or simple color coding better serves the shipment.

Use the Closure and Perforations as Designed

Keep the self-seal area clean and dry, then apply pressure across the entire flap. Double perforations can support recipient opening, but they do not make the package returnable unless the exact product includes a documented return seal. Test opening instructions before using the format in a customer workflow.

A clear-view mailer remains flexible and does not prevent bending, crushing or puncture. Use rigid packaging for sensitive printed pieces or products that cannot tolerate flexing. The 2 mil description is a film thickness, not a universal load rating or proof of waterproof or tamper-evident performance.
