Measure the bin’s usable inside width and verify the divider recommended for that product family. Nominal divider width should not be treated as a universal fit across bins with different wall thicknesses, tapers or constructions. Fold the side flaps along their intended scores and seat them without crushing the bin walls or leaving gaps that allow parts to pass underneath.

Browse corrugated bins and storage to select the parent bin first. If each part needs frequent independent replenishment or a distinct picking location, separate narrow bins may provide clearer control than several compartments within one wide container.

Set compartment spacing from the product dimensions, hand access and planned quantity. Preserve room for labels and avoid narrow cells that force employees to pinch or scoop parts awkwardly. Place look-alike items in clearly differentiated locations and keep barcodes or part numbers visible from the aisle.

Dividers organize inventory but do not add a documented load rating or prevent contamination and migration under every condition. Small or thin pieces can move between compartments if gaps develop. Inspect divider flaps and bin walls after repeated picking, replace crushed components and use a more secure compartment system for oily, wet, very dense or precision-controlled items.
