The 2-mil general-purpose products include 1/2 × 36-yard and 3/4 × 36-yard rolls. The 5-mil product is a 1/2 × 18-yard roll identified as heavy-duty. That label applies to the specific item; it is not a universal load rating or permission to replace mechanical fastening.

Choose 1/2 inch for narrower bond areas and 3/4 inch when the wider 2-mil film better matches the contact footprint. Use roll length to calculate output and changeovers. Smaller two-roll packs can support trials or limited work, while larger cases fit a validated repeat process.

Clean and dry both surfaces with a method that will not damage them. Apply the adhesive without wrinkles, keep fingers off the bonding face and use consistent pressure. Align the second surface carefully because early tack can make repositioning difficult. Allow the documented dwell before evaluating the assembly.

Test for peel, shear, edge lift and surface change under the real load and environment. Plastic type, coating, texture, temperature and moisture can materially change the result.
