Kraft Self-Seal Padded Mailers

Treat stated flat dimensions as an outside-size reference unless the exact product says otherwise. Measure the item at its thickest point and add practical loading clearance. The product should not stretch the side seams, force sharp corners against the paper or occupy the adhesive area when the flap closes.

For products that need a rigid enclosure, compare corrugated mailers. Fiber padding helps manage rubbing and routine handling, but it does not turn a flexible envelope into a box or create a universal protection level.

Keep the adhesive and mating surface dry, clean and flat. Remove the release liner only when the mailer is ready to close, apply even pressure across the full strip and check that overfilled contents do not push the flap open. Add another documented retention method when the route or product requires it.

Kraft paper and fiber padding do not provide universal moisture, puncture or tamper protection. Control sharp edges and rigid corners, and use inner protection for moisture-sensitive items. Test the completed package for the intended route instead of relying on the self-seal label as a guarantee.
