Paper padded mailers add a cushioning layer around compatible books, documents, media, samples and small parts. Fiber-padded, self-seal and recycled-paper constructions support different packing methods, while kraft and white exteriors provide different presentation and labeling surfaces. Choose the padding, size and closure before choosing color or case quantity. Traditional fiber-padded mailers provide a flexible protective layer and may use tape or staples for closure. Self-seal styles add an adhesive flap for faster packing, while Curby™ options use recycled paper with honeycomb cushioning. Select the construction that fits the product and the steps available at the packing station. For adhesive closures, keep the contact area clean, dry and free of product pressure. When tape or staples are used, place them so they secure the flap without contacting the contents. None of these closure methods makes an overfilled or damaged mailer suitable for shipment. Displayed dimensions are outside measurements. Measure the complete product, including sleeves, inserts and edge protection, and allow loading clearance. The flap should close flat without stretching the side seams or pressing corners into the paper exterior. Padded mailers remain flexible. Use a corrugated mailer when the product needs bending control, stronger edge support or greater crush protection. Add moisture or puncture protection when the route exposes the package to risks the chosen paper construction cannot manage. They are outside measurements, so allow room for product thickness and the cushioning layer. Fiber-padded styles use fiber cushioning, while Curby™ uses a recycled-paper honeycomb structure. No. Some use self-seal flaps, while others may be taped or stapled closed. Choose corrugated when the product needs rigidity, edge support or stronger crush protection. Packaging HERO can help you compare padded mailer size, fiber or honeycomb cushioning, closure and product protection.Kraft and White Padded Mailers for Everyday Shipping
