Choose the Pallet Message by What Must Not Change

The most useful pallet label names the condition that must be preserved while the load moves through warehousing and transportation.

Size the Label for Freight, Not Just the Carton

The assortment includes 3 x 5, 3 x 10, 4 x 6, 6 x 10 and 8 x 10 inch formats. Smaller labels work for close-range handling, while the 8 x 10 formats are easier to recognize from a forklift or receiving-dock viewing distance.

Roll quantities vary by label size and application. Smaller carton-level labels fit frequent packing-station use, while larger freight warnings are selected for visibility on palletized loads.

Using Pallet Labels Effectively

1. Place the warning where it remains visible after wrapping. A pallet label hidden beneath stretch film overlaps, corner boards or shipping documents loses much of its value.

2. Use more than one side for critical instructions. If the pallet can be approached from multiple directions, duplicate the instruction on the faces most likely to be visible.

3. Pair the label with physical load controls. A Do Not Stack or Must Remain Palletized label communicates the requirement; stretch film, strapping, edge protection and pallet configuration still have to support the load.

4. Use receiving-specific wording when acceptance is the concern. A receiving caution is clearer than a general Fragile label when inspection before signing is the actual business requirement.
