Spiral Fill

Compressed spiral paper develops volume when it is lifted, shaken and separated. Product documentation describes expansion up to ten times the original packed volume, but actual yield depends on handling and the density used in the box. Prepare a representative case, weigh the amount used per pack and document the preferred presentation standard.

Use enough fill to frame the product and manage light open space without forcing the lid or hiding the merchandise. Paper spirals create a different look from shredded crinkle paper because the pieces are larger and more dimensional. Test color and texture against the product, insert and carton before standardizing the presentation.

Spiral fill can provide light cushioning around suitable merchandise, but a one-pound case specification does not establish impact protection or shipping performance. Heavy, sharp, fragile or high-value items may need separate cushioning, edge protection or restraint. Test the finished package through the actual handling method.

Recycled content applies only to spiral products specifically identified as recycled. Kraft color alone does not prove recycled content, and recycled material does not automatically determine local recyclability after use. Consider dyes, coatings, contamination and local collection requirements. Store paper in a clean, dry location and keep opened material covered so the spirals remain presentable at the packing station.
