Plastic Corrugated Sheets for Repeated Handling and Color Coding

Plastic corrugated sheets are lightweight fluted polypropylene panels used where a wipeable surface, moisture tolerance, repeated handling or visual identification is valuable. The assortment includes 3/16-inch sheets in black, blue and white across multiple footprints. Choose the panel from the physical load and environment, then use color only as a workflow aid.

Choose Plastic for the Operating Conditions

Consider how often the sheet will be handled, whether it will contact dirt or incidental moisture and how it will be cleaned. Verify the exact footprint for totes, pallets, work surfaces or product layers. A plastic panel can resist conditions that quickly weaken ordinary paper-based corrugated, but thin fluted construction still needs appropriate support beneath concentrated or heavy loads.

For dry shipping, disposable layering or fiberboard wall choices, compare fiber corrugated sheets. Plastic is not automatically the better option; the decision should reflect reuse frequency, cleaning, moisture exposure, stiffness, disposal practices and total process cost.

Validate Compatibility, Cleaning and Reuse

Polypropylene should not be described as compatible with every chemical or industrial fluid. Check the actual substance, concentration, temperature, exposure time and cleaning agent. Avoid cuts, heat and sharp localized loads that can weaken the flutes or create areas that are difficult to clean. Use a documented sanitation process when hygiene requirements apply.

Color can help identify departments, product groups or process stages, but it is not a control system by itself. Pair color with clear labels and written procedures. Inspect panels for bowed surfaces, crushed flutes, cuts, residue and damaged edges before reuse. Plastic corrugated does not carry a universal load, food-contact, ESD, flame-resistance or service-life claim.

Plastic Corrugated Sheets FAQs

What are these plastic corrugated sheets made from?

They are described as 3/16-inch fluted polypropylene panels.

Can the sheets be washed?

They can be selected for wipe-down workflows, but the cleaning method and required hygiene level must be validated.

Are they resistant to every chemical?

No. Confirm compatibility for the specific substance, concentration, temperature and exposure.

What is the purpose of different colors?

Colors can support identification and sorting when combined with labels and documented procedures.
