The plastic channel is the durable part of the system; the paper insert carries the changing location, SKU, price or inventory information. Buying the correct insert size avoids trimming every card by hand and keeps the printed information aligned inside the viewing window.

Attachment method matters. Adhesive holders stay in place on compatible smooth surfaces, while magnetic holders are better when steel-rack locations are reconfigured. Slip-Strip channels work well across long shelving where many adjacent locations need a consistent label height.
