Poly Strapping Tape

One-half-inch tape suits narrower contact areas, 3/4-inch provides an intermediate width and 1-inch spreads contact farther across a compatible surface. Width affects coverage but does not establish bundle capacity. Confirm whether the selected item is a small pack or fuller case before planning consumption, storage and reorder points.

The 90-pound tensile figure is a tape test value, not a maximum permitted bundle or carton weight. Wrap count, overlap, product shape, surface adhesion, corners and handling can control the result. Trial the full bundle and document the exact tape, number of wraps and application tension.

Use a compatible handheld dispenser that accepts the chosen width. Keep the tape flat during payout, press it into full contact and cut it with the dispenser rather than an exposed blade. Too much tension can deform cartons or stress product edges.

Poly strapping tape is not the same as polypropylene or polyester strapping secured with seals or heat welds. Do not treat it as certified load restraint or substitute it automatically for a specified strapping system. Inspect representative bundles after storage and movement for edge lift, stretching, abrasion and shifting.
