Receiving stickers make inbound actions visible before a carton is opened, accepted or routed. Messages include “Hold For Inspection,” “Inspect For Damage Before Accepting,” “Open Immediately,” “Open This End,” “Certification Enclosed,” “Received,” “Sign Here” and “Signature Required.” Choose wording that corresponds to a defined receiving step. Use inspection wording when employees must pause and examine a shipment before acceptance or movement. Opening-direction labels help prevent access from the wrong panel, while “Open Immediately” signals urgency but should be paired with a reason in the purchase order or receiving procedure. “Certification Enclosed” identifies document location; it does not verify the document’s contents. For messages that identify paperwork or parts inside a package, compare packing list enclosed labels. Keep similar phrases standardized so receiving employees do not have to interpret several labels that mean the same thing. A “Received,” “Sign Here” or “Signature Required” sticker should connect to the approved record: carrier paperwork, a receiving log, an ERP transaction or another controlled document. Establish who signs, what the signature confirms and how damage or discrepancies are documented before the shipment is put away. Place the sticker where it will be seen before the relevant action, not beneath straps, tape or carrier labels. Printed instructions do not create proof of inspection, certification or acceptance by themselves. Retain photos, counts, signatures and exception records required by the receiving process. The sticker signals a pause, but your receiving procedure must define the inspection and release authority. No. It only points to expected paperwork; the recipient must verify the actual certificate. Put it beside the intended access panel where it remains visible before cutting tape or straps. Not necessarily. Use it with the documentation and system entries required by your organization. Packaging HERO can help you select receiving messages that fit inspection, opening and sign-off workflows.Receiving Stickers for Inspection, Opening and Sign-Off Steps
