Write-On Cable Ties for Fast Bundling and Identification

Write-on cable ties combine a nylon fastening strap with an identification flag. They help technicians label cables, parts, samples, keys and inventory at the point of attachment, reducing the need to coordinate a separate tag and fastener for simple manual identification.

Choose Flag Position and Writing Method

Check whether the flag sits before or after the locking head and confirm that it will face the reader after installation. Allow space for the actual text, code or date. Test the intended marker for legibility, drying time, smear resistance and durability under handling, cleaning and environmental exposure.

Color can add a second visual cue, while the written field carries specific information. Handwritten identification is not a serialized or automated record unless the data is also entered into the controlling system. For bundling without an ID flag, review cable and security ties.

Match Tie Strength to the Bundle

Select usable length, width and listed tensile strength separately from the flag size. Identification ties include different constructions, so confirm the exact specification. Tighten without crushing insulation or covering the written field.
