Use Caution Do Not Enter when that complete instruction matches the controlled area, Caution for a general warning or Danger only where the stronger message is appropriate under the site's safety program. Wording and color should align with the identified hazard and applicable procedures, not simply the roll already on hand.

A 1,000-foot roll can define a substantial perimeter, but calculate multiple runs, tie points, sag and waste. The 3 mil film is intended as a visible tape boundary, not a load-bearing line. Do not stretch it so tightly that attachment points fail or the printed message becomes difficult to read.

Attach the tape to stable posts or approved supports at a visible height and repeat it where people could approach from more than one direction. Keep the message facing expected traffic. Inspect the boundary after wind, rain, vehicle movement or shift changes and replace torn or displaced sections.

Barricade tape does not physically prevent entry and is not a substitute for fencing, guardrails, locks or attendants when those controls are required. Compare vinyl safety tape for adhered floor lines. Printed wording communicates a warning but does not by itself establish regulatory compliance or eliminate the hazard.
