Choose a square that stays within the supported area of the component. Foam extending beyond an edge can collect debris, while a piece that is too small can concentrate force. For longer contact lines, confirm whether a listed strip dimension fits better than placing multiple disconnected squares.

Case quantities vary by piece dimensions and thickness. Smaller pieces may be packed in higher counts, so estimate consumption from pieces per finished assembly. If two squares are required per unit, calculate inventory on that application rate rather than comparing cases only by price or gross piece count.

Clean and dry both surfaces, position the first face and press it evenly without crushing one edge. Remove the liner by its edge, keeping fingers away from the exposed adhesive. Align the second component before pressing because repeated lifting can reduce contact or distort the foam.

Pre-cut foam accommodates small irregularities but is not a mechanical fastener. Compare foam tape rolls when the bond needs a custom length. Test load direction, dwell, temperature and removal on the actual materials; thickness and piece size alone do not establish capacity.
