Full-Face Printed Packing List Envelopes

Full-face packing list envelopes devote most of the pouch front to a bold printed message. They are designed for shipping operations that want the document type to be immediately recognizable rather than relying on the enclosed paperwork to identify itself.

Choose Full-Face Printing When the Message Comes First

Large printed areas make phrases such as “Packing List Enclosed” visible during unloading, receiving and order processing. Print color, wording and layout can help a facility standardize how external paperwork is recognized across shipments.

The tradeoff is document visibility. A full-face print can obscure addresses, barcodes or reference numbers on the inserted paperwork, so this style is best when the receiver needs to find the pouch first and read the document after opening it.

When both the message and part of the paperwork should show, use Panel-Face Packing List Envelopes. For maximum document visibility, choose a clear-face pouch.

Opening Direction Affects Packing-Station Speed

Top-opening envelopes work well when operators load documents downward after the pouch is applied. Side-opening envelopes can be easier when cartons travel horizontally and the document is inserted from the operator’s working side. Match the opening to the carton orientation, not just the envelope dimensions.

Size the pouch around the prepared document. A folded packing slip needs a different usable space than a full-size invoice or manifest. Avoid forcing paperwork into a tight pouch or leaving so much empty film that the envelope wrinkles across the carton.

Apply the adhesive to a clean, dry area away from carton seams and closure tape. Test recycled corrugated, dusty surfaces, coatings and low-temperature applications.
