Jiffy TuffGard Extreme Poly Cushioned Mailers

Jiffy TuffGard Extreme mailers use a white poly exterior, 5/16-inch internal air-cell cushioning and a self-seal closure. The thicker documented cushioning option supports compatible products that need more built-in protection while retaining a flexible mailer format. Size the envelope around the packed item and its handling risks.

Use Thicker Cushioning Where It Adds Value

Start with the outside mailer dimensions and subtract practical space for both product thickness and the cushioning layer. Avoid forcing rigid items into the envelope or concentrating weight at the seams. The product should remain clear of the adhesive area and should not create outward pressure on the flap.

The 5/16-inch air-cell construction is thicker than selected options in the broader poly cushioned mailer family. Thickness alone does not determine suitability. Product weight, corners, fragility and the distribution route still control whether a flexible package is enough.

Protect the Poly Exterior and Self-Seal Flap

Cover sharp edges, fasteners and protrusions that could puncture the film or cushioning. Keep the closure surface clean and dry, remove the liner at the final step and apply even pressure across the strip. Reject mailers with damaged seams, contaminated adhesive or punctured exteriors.

TuffGard Extreme mailers remain flexible despite the thicker cushioning. Use a corrugated package when the product requires bending control, stacking structure or stronger crush protection. Do not treat the poly exterior or self-seal closure as proof of waterproof or tamper-evident performance.
