Pre-Cut Pallet Top Sheets by Size, Mil and Color
Plastic pallet top sheets provide a pre-cut layer over the upper surface of a palletized load. Choices include clear and black sheets from 36 × 36 inches through 72 × 72 inches, with 1.25-, 1.5- and 3-mil constructions on specific products. Select the footprint and overlap before comparing roll yield.
Match the Sheet to the Pallet Footprint
A top sheet should cover the upper face and provide the overlap required by the wrap method without hanging so far that it catches during handling. Measure the loaded pallet, not only the wood deck. Available examples include 36 × 36-inch 3-mil sheets, 48 × 48-inch 1.5-mil sheets, several 60 × 60-inch formats, 60 × 72-inch sheets and 72 × 72-inch sheets.
Clear film keeps the top of the load visible. Black film can help conceal the covered surface, but color does not create tamper evidence, UV protection or guaranteed opacity. Mil describes nominal thickness. Evaluate drape, corner puncture and application behavior with the actual load.
Coordinate the Sheet with the Wrap Pattern
Place the sheet before the final upper wraps so the stretch film can hold the overlap against the load. Keep the sheet flat enough to avoid pockets that collect water or interfere with barcode and handling labels. A top sheet adds coverage over one surface; it does not enclose the pallet sides or make the shipment waterproof.
Roll quantities vary by exact product, including 150-, 200-, 250- and 500-sheet formats, plus selected Goodwrappers® and kit configurations. Verify the item rather than calculating supply from size alone. Compare formed pallet covers when the application needs side coverage. Standardize sheet size, placement and stretch-wrap pattern together.
