Multi-Depth Boxes: What Makes Them Special?

Let's say you produce two vases, they are exactly the same except one is 8" tall and the other is 10" tall.  Do you want to keep two different box sizes in stock or would it be simpler to have one box that would fit each size perfectly; without needing to add additional and costly void fill.

A multi-depth box is a standard regular shipping carton with additional score lines in intervals down the side of the box.  Simply cut down the corner of the box to the score line that meets your desired height.  After each of the four corners are cut, simply close the box as you would.

In this example we would suggest a 10" multi-depth box. The larger of the vases will fit perfectly in this box but when the smaller vase is ready to ship, simply cut the corners of the box to the 8" score line and close and tape the shipping box as normal.
