Corrugated Bins

Measure clear shelf width, depth and height after accounting for uprights, beams, lips and overhead obstructions. Select interior space for the product plus comfortable hand access; a bin that fits the shelf but hides the label or forces awkward reaching will slow picking. Consider whether items are loaded from the front or replenished from another position.

Use compatible bin dividers only when multiple products can remain clearly separated within the intended bin. Longer warehouse rack bins may better use deep shelving, while stackable styles require the exact supported configuration.

Assign one visible location label and product identifier per storage position. Keep barcodes readable from the aisle and separate look-alike parts with adequate dividers or dedicated bins. Set replenishment quantities from practical access and weight, not merely the remaining volume at the back of the bin.

Corrugated bins are lightweight and ship flat, but they are not automatically suitable for wet, oily, abrasive, sanitary or high-temperature environments. Load capacity, stacking and reuse depend on the exact construction and operating conditions. Inspect front cutouts, bottoms and sidewalls for wear, and replace bins before damage disrupts picking or allows inventory to mix.
