Label Protection Tape and Shipping-Document Pouches

Label-protection products cover shipping information while keeping the printed area available for reading or scanning. The family includes clear wide tape, compatible dispensers, portable pouch-tape pads and pouch-tape rolls. Select by document dimensions, package surface and workstation method rather than treating all four formats as the same product.

Choose Coverage for the Document

Clear protection tape is supplied in 4-, 5- and 6-inch widths for continuous roll application. Pouch products create a non-tacky clear window over the document while adhesive surrounds the usable area. Pads support portable use; rolls can serve a fixed shipping station with compatible dispensing equipment.

Measure the label, barcode or packing document and leave enough adhesive contact around it without covering seams or unsupported package edges. The printed area must remain flat. Wrinkles, glare, dirt, bubbles and distorted print can interfere with scanning even when the document is physically covered.

Match the Format to the Workstation

A dispenser can help control a wide roll and cutting action, but its width, core and roll-diameter compatibility must be confirmed. Portable pads need no separate dispenser. Pouch-tape rolls require planning for roll handling and repeat placement. Choose the method operators can apply consistently without obscuring the document.

Compare clear label-protection tape with 5 × 6-inch pouch-tape rolls. Apply only to a clean, dry, compatible package surface. A clear cover does not make a package waterproof or guarantee carrier scanning, so verify the complete labeled package.
