Inventory and shipping tags place readable information at products, bins, equipment and packages. Choose the Tag from the Environment

Paper and cardstock tags support indoor identification, pricing and status workflows where moisture and abrasion are limited. Colored tags make visual sorting faster when the organization uses a documented color key. Tyvek® and plastic options can provide greater resistance to tearing or moisture, but exact durability and marking compatibility remain product-specific.

Match tag dimensions to the amount of handwritten, printed or preprinted information required. Then choose pre-strung, pre-wired or unattached formats from the attachment point and work method. A fastener should remain secure without damaging the item, creating a snag hazard or leaving a sharp exposed end.

Connect Every Tag to a Defined Process

A status word, color or number communicates information but does not perform an inspection, prove chain of custody or make a shipment compliant. Define who completes the tag, what record supports it, who may change the status and how used or canceled numbers are reconciled.

Test handwriting, printing or label adhesion on the exact tag surface before rollout. Make required information legible and use text or another backup identifier when color alone could be misunderstood. Remove obsolete tags promptly so the physical item and its supporting record do not show conflicting instructions.
